Our accountability
Joint Standing Committee
The Commission is accountable to Parliament through the Joint Standing Committee on Integrity, formed by the Integrity Commission Act 2009. The Committee membership consists of MPs from the House of Assembly and Legislative Council, including representatives of each of the major political parties.
While the committee can refer matters to the Commission for investigation or advice, it may not involve itself in any complaints or investigations arising from complaints dealt with by the Commission.
The members of the Joint Standing Committee on Integrity are listed on the Parliament of Tasmania website.
