Risk-based prevention

We target our prevention activities, education and training to the areas of greatest misconduct risk.

We identify risk areas from trends arising in complaints, assessments and investigations we receive, notifications of complaints received by public sector organisations, and insights arising from public sector engagement or our own research.

How we help you prevent misconduct

Our online training and prevention resources are free. We conduct workshops and face-to-face education sessions and give presentations to employees, elected members and public sector boards, as well as professional associations and non-government and community organisations.

Tailored training and support

Our consultants can help to identify misconduct risks in your organisation, improve risk management, and identify ways to foster an ethically healthy culture.

We can tailor multi-layered education and training plans, which might include one-off training or assistance to develop integrated training packages.

Obligations

Under section 32 of the Integrity Commission Act 2009 (Tas), principal officers – usually leaders such as heads of agencies and council general managers – have important responsibilities. They must ensure that employees and elected members understand how the Act affects them, including any applicable code of conduct, and provide access to education relating to ethical conduct.
