The Integrity Commission has launched a three‑year public awareness campaign to strengthen ethical capability across Tasmania’s public sector and build trust in public institutions.
The campaign aims to improve understanding of the Commission’s role, address common misconceptions about its work, and reinforce that public sector employees can safely seek advice or report concerns about misconduct.
Chief Executive Officer Ms Ellen McKenzie said the campaign highlights the Commission’s important preventative and educative role.
“While the Commission is often associated with investigations, much of our work is focussed on building capability – supporting agencies and employees through education, training and advice,” Ms McKenzie said.
“We want people to feel confident that asking questions or raising concerns is the right thing to do. Speaking up early helps prevent issues from escalating and leads to better outcomes for public sector agencies and employees, and the Tasmanian community.”
Ms McKenzie said individuals who seek advice or report concerns play an important role in strengthening integrity and accountability across the public sector.
Tasmanians are encouraged to visit integrity.tas.gov.au to learn more about the Commission’s role, access guidance and training resources, and find out how to seek advice or report a concern.
